me and Jali D of PS24 watch, then verbally joust regarding the "funny or offensive?"
issue:

Jali D perspective- familiar with the character, would not classify himself as a 'fan', recognizes the humor but not completely comfortable with the hip hop caricature portrayed by Mr. Cohen

dp perspective- watcher of the HBO version of "Da Ali G Show" from the jump, definitely enjoys the show and is unfazed by the cartoonish character who possesses the world's greatest poker face

in the end, we agree to disagree

but the next day i thought about my first glimpse of Ali G, as he hosted a EuroMTV awards show...

i thought he was wack.*

but he's not.

people, it's a thin line sometimes...**




*kinda like i thought Slum Village was garbage on the mic...

**so what would Jali D think about THIS?
