I was at work doin a lil googling & my jaw dropped at this
I'm not even gonna put this LA cat's name on blast - yet. I'm just notifying my lawyer...

taken from blankey-blanks website

In a funny way I got to be hosting the biggest poetry spot in the country. It's called 'Ignition' and will be every Sunday. So now I host Saturday and Sunday.Love the 2 extremes. From coffee shop to what has never been done as far as I know.Poetry in a disco......I did what no one has done before to my knowledge.I grouped together all the poemcees I'd seen in 2 years in poetry. My way of saying thanks to them because their hip hop flavor kept me in poetry. Also it was my ambition to form the Wu-Tang of poetry......Let's get real.Poetry needs poemcees.....I said the catchphrase on the flyers then announced everybody one at a time offstage.I had about 15 poemcees on stage. We will be doing this every Sunday. The main act poemcees will put it down for three hours max and believe me you'll be entertained the whole time.Ask anyone who came.Dj Jedi and Dj Sayan span hiphop for two hours before we even started. The club opens at 7 and closes at 2am.It's the new thing, people.Poetry in a disco and I myself can't wait to get with it again next Sunday.signing off.

bahahahha quit playing, a poet and an emcee can't get mad at someone totally stealing/grifting/blatantly gaffling ideas, concepts, styles, or actual lyrics. Ideas these days are like the land we live on and a rack of mofos wanna "discover" them. Once a year some mofo tell me about their "poetology" I just nod, and say "great word/concept, wish i had of thought of it". I even had one mofo give me the definition that I made up over 5 years ago verbatum, drunk as all hell- even had my original grammatical mistakes and misspellings-- like wow dude you even looked it up. *sigh

My Baby Girl turned 1 on yesterday

and took her first 4 steps at the birthday party

in front of everyone -

cousins screamed

Mommy yelled

Gramma wept

Big Brother pushed her down but

Daddy just smiled uneasily & thought

"she can go where she wants now -

in a world where a child can be ripped from a parents arms

by stray bullets

strangers with ill intent

or even by flood waters

how can I keep her safe or better yet

how can I keep her coming back to me?"

I'll take any hints or suggestions, cuz for real

those 4 steps just scared the hell outta me....

Pic!

you can't keep her from walking away. what you can do is make sure that she walks in the direction of people who know and respect her worth.

My daughter started walking at 8 months yet didn't start talking until she was almost four. She's six now in the second grade reading on a fourth grade level. She walked to school by herself Tuesday (stalkingly followed) I'm not worried about her steps, I'm worried about worldly snakes 10 years from now who can take advantage of 16 year old college Freshman.
